Holiday Groups
Holiday groups are used to disable (or enable) schedule periods during a holiday. The holiday group defines the holiday dates and recurrence, while the schedule defines the behavior during the holiday dates. Holiday groups and their behavior can be assigned in Schedules.
For more information, see Configuring Schedules and Holidays.
-
Name: The name of the record in English.
English is the default system language for all records and is assumed to be the primary language.
-
Name (Second Language): The name of the record as it appears within the Protege X user interface when the operator's Portal Settings display language is set to a language other than English.
When the operator's display language is set to any language other than English, all 'Second Language' values become the primary value, and the English versions are displayed as the 'Second Language' value.
Location Group
Only available when LBAC Mode is enabled (see Using Location-Based Access Control (LBAC)).
This section allows you to define the holidays included in the group. Click Add to create a new holiday record.
- Name: The name of the holiday.
-
Repeat: When this option is enabled the holiday will recur on an annual basis.
Keep in mind that some holidays recur on the same day every year (e.g. Christmas), while others occur on different days (e.g. Easter). It is useful to program holidays several years in advance.
- Start Date: The first day of the holiday.
- End Date: The final day of the holiday.
To create a single-day holiday, select the same end date as the start date. For example, to create a 24 hour holiday period for New Years' Day you would set both the start and end date to January 1st.
A maximum of 128 holidays can be added to a holiday group.
